January 1949 Hot Rod Magazine
Fair Condition - Magazine is complete with some obvious cover wear and creasing. The spine shows mainly a lot of use wear and is barely hanging on to the staples, but somehow it is. The pages show some yellowing mostly around the edges due to age.
This Issue Includes: The 1949 PRC Reliability Run; Building a Hot Rod – Running Gear; SCTA Second Annual Hot Rod Exposition and Automotive Equipment Display to be held at the Los Angeles National Guard Armor; California Roadster Association race from Carrell Speedway in Gardena; History of Oregon Roadster Racing Association; Alex Xydias’s A Streamliner feature and cutaway artwork; Parts With Appeal featuring model Marie Helton; Tom Medley cartoon of the Exposition Highlights; plus more excellent editorial, features, tech and vintage ads.
Even in pretty rough shape this is super rare issue of Hot Rod that is an important part of automotive history.
