Chuck Etchells was a pioneering NHRA Funny Car driver and team owner who earned 13 national event victories. Piloting his iconic Kendall Oil Dodge Daytona, he made drag racing history in 1993 by becoming the first Funny Car driver to break the four-second barrier with a landmark 4.98-second run. He was widely respected as a fierce competitor and master car tuner.
