The Drag-On Lady – the Story of Shirley Shahan
As the first woman to win a NHRA National event, Shirley Shahan took Top Stock Eliminator at the 1966 Winternationals then continued to blaze a trail for women in drag racing. In a career that spanned the 1950’s and into the 1970’s, Shahan drove 1956 and 1958 Chevys before moving on to Dodge Super Stockers where the name Drag-On Lady became a name to be reckoned with. With hundreds of photos, this 176 page book is a great historical account of one of the most famous women in drag racing.
